The NPH was, as expected, awesome hosting SNL last night. Or at least as awesome as he could be given the current cast and writing staff. Watch his monologue above, and his Frost/Other People sketch below. I can't believe Daryl Hammond is still on the show after this long.

why do people constantly insist that this writing staff is sub par? there is no doubt in my mind that some of the sketches from the last year or two will end up being remembered as classics.

The only sketch worthy of NPH last night was the Broadway one. All the others were duds or had NPH playing the straight guy (like the Penelope sketch) which he is so much better than.
