I’m not sure what’s the most hilarious thing about the fact that the New Kids on the Block are going on a concert cruise. Is it this quote from Joey McIntryre, “Our manager tells us this is not a cheesy thing, this is not a step back”? Or is it that it’s not an unheard of idea since their reunion tour sold out entire arenas across the country? I’m not sure, but the fact that people care enough to make this news is mildly disturbing in either case.

The ship leaves from Ft. Lauderdale May 15th, and Joey McIntyre claims that he will personally be serving you pina coladas on the ship. What was that you said fifteen seconds ago Joey “…it’s not a cheesy thing, this is not a step back.” Yep.

You know, I’m half tempted to change my post-graduation plans to accommodate this, but I think the shores of New Kids on the Block-less Hawaii just might still have my vote. Maybe if Donnie Wahlberg gives me a massage I’ll change my mind.
