Music Spotlight: Cold War Kids

Cold War Kids are not exactly untouched territory, but they're full of energy and releasing a new album this fall.

Huzzah!!

MTV did usurp some of their amazing-ness by doing one of those one week snippet commercial features -- guess it was inevitable with all the blog buzz -- leaving CWK popular and almost overnight stars. Yet, the music of CWK never lacks passion. Every live show seems as if Nathan Willett, lead vocals, is singing for his last meal.

On the album, Robbers & Cowards, that insatiable hunger was reflected in each track. The new single, "Something's Not Right With Me," is just as moving. Give the live version, from Celebrate Brooklyn, a listen.

The new album, Loyalty to Loyalty, is set for release on September 23rd, 2008.

Must Have Tracks: "Saint John" and "Rubidoux"
