From WNBC New York:

Three armed robbers broke into a home in Uniondale early Monday, stealing cash and electronics from eight Hofstra University students.

Uniondale police said the home invasion happened around 1 a.m. at a house on Lawrence Street.

Several of the victims were bound with duct tape and told to stay on the floor, police said.

One victim was pistol-whipped causing several lacerations and bleeding to his head and was transported to an area hospital for treatment, police said. The victim is expected to recover.

The robbers took cell phones, cash, and a 46-inch flat screen television, police said.

The subjects fled the scene in an unknown direction. A search is underway. Those with information about the incident can contact detectives at 1-800-244-TIPS.
