Why must being gay be an insult in our society? It is a lifestlye of many people on this earth, and the ridicule needs to stop. Now. There are middle school kids BEING KILLED because of the way our society thinks about having a homosexual preference.

It's an insult because there are no evolutionary/social advantages or purposes of being gay. Human nature is about self-preservation and passing on genes to the next generation like any species. The university of illinois is not a "real greek system" Any greek system above the mason dixon line is a joke compared to those down south, but you know what, i'm fine with that. I think it's cool that top tier sororities can have mediocre and even ugly girls (Alpha Phi and Tri Delt) and top tier fraternities can include minorities and kids who were losers in high school (there are definitely questionable kids in beta, sae, and theta chi). Hardly anyone at this school would be able to get a bid, let alone handle pledge term at a top tier house at Bama or Ole Miss. And that kid in the picture is probably in pike.
