It's said that Main Squeeze, the only distinctly vegetarian (and partly vegan) restaurant in Columbia, could be on its way to Trattoria-dom (i.e. out of business).

Wha-at?? Even if you don't eat there, can you imagine CoMo's downtown without the bright little smoothie shop? The citrus-colored windowpanes, the funny art hanging in the window, the cute little dread-locked redhead perched at the register?

Ugh. Where are all of our restaurants going? The District must be pumping up business costs. Shit, let's blame them, not the fact that college students don't want to pay more than $5 for a meal.
