Not Thinking is the New Diet

Not Thinking is the New Diet

Get this, thinking makes you gain weight!  According to recent scientific studies, thinking fattens you up.  Mental work messes with your levels of insulin and glucose, which are two critical components for bodily functioning. As a result, your appetite is then stimulated causing you to want to devour an entire pizza instead of nibbling on that fiber bar.

The brain functions on using glucose for energy. So, when the level of glucose, or sugar, becomes unstable, the brain demands more in order to replace the lack of energy. After several experiments, participants consumed more calories shortly after performing intense, mental problems. Midterms anyone? Also according to the studies, women are more likely to gain weight from stress than men are. Typical.

So if you're trying to lose weight, try not to think a lot. I'm just going to blame thinking on my own recent gain-weight. Here are some activities you can indulge in that doesn't require much thinking:

1. Dancing

2. Bowling

3. Sleeping

4. Roller Skating

5. Finger Painting
