One of These Mo-nin's...

When's the last time you thought about the rapture? Was it this morning, when you were eating your delicious sugar and rice breakfast?

This song aired on The Mornin' Show, a local program carried by NBC affiliate WTVA in Tupelo, Mississippi. I'm not sure why it wasn't immediately put into syndication. It addresses the second coming of Christ, Kirk Cameron style...and is effin' hilarious (as well as closed captioned for your viewing enjoyment). A couple of observations:

  • Why does the drum set have Darwin's name on it? You'd think it say something inspirational, like "Jesus Saves" or "Sinners go to Hell". Why pay homage to the founding father of evolution?
  • Could the lady in the video be any less interested in what she's singing? Does she know she's being filmed? Or is she just drunk?
  • While we're on the subject of the woman in the film, why is she wearing every piece of jewelry she owns? And it appears as though she used my discarded Christmas wrapping paper to fashion a shirt.
  • Is that a rat tail she's rocking on the back of her head? Since it's bushy, should we call it a beaver's tail?
  • Nuts of Grapes? Stew for breakfast? Seriously?
  • Is he missing teeth, or is he just in need of a hard core retainer?
