If you’re a Britney Spears fan, December 2nd marked the second coming but thanks to the internet, Britney descended early. Like the album’s title track says, “all eyes on me in the center of the ring just like a circus.” Brit Brit’s comeback is already on the best selling albums on iTunes and after a good listen, it’s clear that it deserves to be there.

It has all the usual fun along with some ballads numbers like “Out From Under” which is about her divorce from Kevin Federline. This marks the most important difference between this album and her last, Blackout- she doesn’t sound like a robot. There is some actual singing this time around.

But let’s face it, infectious dance numbers are her forte and this album does not disappoint. With “Rock Me In” and “Kill the Lights” she brings the party, not to mention the paparazzi dissing. In the latter she asks a Mr. Photographer “Is that money in your pocket or you happy to see me?” right before she not-so-kindly requests that the lights be taken down. 

However, all the other songs take a back seat to this album’s star track, “If You Seek Amy.” What a random title, right? The odd song surrounds an elusive girl named Amy. The real genius of the track becomes evident when you get to the chorus and you hear “All of the boys and all of the girls are begging to F-U-C-K Me.”

On second hearing, you might even see that Circus isn’t just a title, but an apt theme that gives the album its overall feel. Definitely a rallying success and let’s face it, all of the boys and all of the girls do want to if you seek Amy.
