Pitbull Tickets Disappear, Students Try to Salvage Friday Night

The University Box Office started selling tickets to the Pitbull concert Tuesday starting at noon. By two o'clock the tickets were sold out. That means that either the the Phillips Center is really really small or people were really excited about this concert.

Unfortunately, not only are there no free tickets for UF students, but Ticketmaster is all sold out of their $11 general admission tickets as well. Those tickets went on sale last Monday.

For those of you who waited in line and got denied, or who thought you could get your tickets later this week, the only thing left to do is to scour Facebook market place and Craigslist for **** scalpers who bought tickets just to sell them for a higher price.

You can also try to get tickets outside the venue on Friday but chances are, those are going to be even more expensive than online.

If you did get tickets, be sure to share your experiences and pictures with the rest of us who weren't so lucky.

So if you've exhausted all the different ways to procure tickets, there's nothing left to do but to get smashed and go listen to Pitbull at some club downtown. Speaking of clubs, Gainesville clubs are known for switching owners and names faster than you can kill a keg at a Lambda Chi party. The newest example of this is the revamping of several clubs downtown by the owner of Boutiq.

Apparently, he wants to class up the clubs, including Rehab, by having more VIP tables and a larger circular bar. Not only that, pretty soon Rehab will be reigning Saturday nights under it's new name: Chateau. Ha!

For those of you that don't know, chateau is French for pretentious atrocity.
