After dropping the whole filing a lawsuit against her students for creating a "hostile" environment with their "anti-intellectualism," the former Dartmouth professor is now a research associate at NU.
Let me be the first to welcome you to our campus! And expect some warm greetings from the rest of us delivered right to your inbox (p-venkatesan@northwestern.edu).
We promise we won't make you cry. Or quit.
Maybe.

Stumble It

Sounds like she was constantly mocking students for not being "established scholars" and needs to be seeing a therapist, not an attorney. Posted 05/06/2008 09:41 AMReply

Of course...she is so stupid but she wants to use her "feminist' cards to punish all. Posted 05/13/2008 1:08 PMReply

If this is representative of how college students act, then maybe what the professor alleges is probably true. If people can collectively harass someone that they don't know from a blog then maybe the students at Dartmouth in her class did collectively terrorize the professor.
Watch out Sensible People! Mob hysteria is on the rise!
In reference to this quote,
"Boy, uppity Indian girls who can't imagine how technology has helped level the playing field for the poor masses she left behind are sure ignorant and self-loathing"
What the crap? Are you one of her students? "How technology has helped level the playing field" You sure seem racist and incredibly insecure ("uppity Indian girls"). Maybe the professor did have a valid reason to sue or a least have some backlash against people with a mindset like yours. Posted 06/19/2008 09:30 AMReply
