Rebecca Willis Bump and Grinds Her Way to $275K

A court has awarded a North Carolina woman $275,000 for being wrongly accused of “dirty dancing.” Eight years ago Rebecca Wills was accused of “gyrating and simulating sexual intercourse with her partner while dancing.” Also quote, “her skirt was so short you could see her underwear.”

The real debate was over whether or not her 14th Amendment rights were violated because she was banned from a public area in town. The court decided this was in fact the case, and eight years later finally decided in her favor. She claims she was just celebrating “diversity and free expression.” Sure, I’ll buy it.

Oh and one more fun fact before we go, eight years ago, when the incident took place, Rebecca Willis was 56.
