We know you’re all out of school, but we’re going to attempt to keep you abreast on Michigan news this summer with a new feature. Similar to Fresh Cream, Ripe Produce will feature local UMich news that’s “ripe for the reading.” Here are six summer stories you must know.
* Breasts, balls and a buffet lunch. On Saturday head football coach Rich Rodriguez helped 300 ladies suit up for the 10th annual Woman's Football Academy.
* UMich hottie Lyndsey isn’t afraid of a thunder storm little poop. In fact, she’s chugging cups of salt water for breakfast to get it all out of her.
* Check out MLive's interview with Professor Raymond McDaniel. The Shaman Drum reading host just published his second book, “Saltwater Empire,” a collection of poetry about the Deep South and Hurricane Katrina.
* Engineers at UMich have developed a microprocessor that uses 30 thousand times less energy on hold and ten times less when in activity that other microprocessors. This probably explains why the dean of the engineering at Iowa State just hauled ass resigned to join the Ann Arbor faculty, effective Sept. 1.
* Wolverine Liberation Army knows the most revolutionary play in Michigan football history.
