RISD Alum Seth MacFarlane Associates McCain-Palin Ticket With Nazis In Family Guy Clip

It’s no secret that Rhode Island School of Design alum and Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane is an Obama supporter. He’s a major donor to the campaign as well as the Democratic Party, and he spoke at an Obama rally in Ohio earlier this month. But, loyalties aside, did MacFarlane go too far in last night’s Family Guy?

In the episode Stewie and Brian travel back in time to World War II. When the two come upon some Nazis on the street, they beat them up and steal their uniforms. Stewie then looks down at his Nazi jacket and sees a McCain-Palin button on his lapel.

Wow, he went there. Is it just a bitingly good political satire? Is it too much? Does it compare to the hateful things McCain supporters have said about Obama at rallies? What awful things will come out of this election next? If I hear that McCain and Palin hate puppies, I’m done.

Seth MacFarlane is a hack. If you disagree with John McCain, fine, but debate the issues. To refer to a legitimate war-hero as a Nazi is intellectualy dishonest and shows a lack of creativity, intelligence, or both. If anyone is a brown-shirt, it is MacFarlene. He is Obama's Himmler. Sieg Heil Seth! ......You Moron. Posted 10/20/2008 9:04 PMReply

Seth MacFarlane is the man!!! Everything about McShame and Failin is so true, especially Failin's racist comments about Obama. You can't spell Pailin without P-A-I-N. Posted 10/21/2008 10:37 PMReply

MacFarlane is a funny guy, but a little too preachy for a cartoonists who makes fart jokes (don't get me wrong, they're funny!). But the thing is, if you think about it, Obama wants to nationalize a big chunk of the free market (healthcare), restrict free speech, raise taxes, and confiscate guns. This stuff is all right out of Mein Kampf. It's ironic, but if anyone is the nazi (national socialist) it's Obama. Think about it... when was the last time Obama said anything remotely pro-freedom? It's not the first time Seth McFarlane made these kinds of jokes. Unless you understand Family Guy, you wouldn't understand this.
I agree with Seth McFarlane as much as I agree with Obama!
