Sarah Palin Found Katie Couric Interview "Annoying," Tells Matt Lauer

Sarah Palin found some of Katie Couric’s interview questions annoying— and she’s not afraid to admit it to Matt Lauer. In the clip above she says, “Questions about, ‘Well what do you read up there in Alaska?” to me that was a little bit annoying because I was like, ‘What do you mean, ‘What do I read in Alaska?’ I read the same things that you guys read in New York and there in LA and in Washington State. What do you mean what do I read?” Well actually, I don’t think Sarah Palin does read the same things that I read. Otherwise, she might be able to think of a single Supreme Court decision with which she disagrees. But I’m sure she reads Vonnegut too.

This isn’t the first time Palin has taken shot at the media as though it were moose; right before Barack Obama was elected she told WMAL-AM, "It's sort of perplexing to me, because I'm a practical person and plainspoken also, but just cutting to the chase and calling things like I see them, just like most Americans. But this has not left a bitter taste in my mouth, the bitter shots taken by the mainstream media and by some of the elitism there in Washington.”

The night of the election, she also said, “There is a little bit of disappointment in my heart about the world of journalism today. I have such great respect for the role of the media in our democracy, it is a cornerstone, it allows the checks and balances. But only when there is fairness and objectivity in reporting.” Oh, and I was under the impression that the three branches of government were meant for checks and balances. She sure taught me a lesson!

Palin is three shades of dumb and anyone with half a brain figured it out after the Gibson and Couric interviews! Those disc jockeys from Montreal realized it and made a monkee out of her with the prank phone call from President Sarkozy. Palin is a huge embarassment to the rest of the world. Why some dopes in the Republican Party seem to think that she is their "future" is beyond me! Palin could conceivably be a worse President that George W. -- she's that stupid and dangerous. Notice the vapid, vacuous individual in the interview still can't name a single book or publication. What exactly do we read in Los Angeles Governor Palin? Getting annoyed by a "tough" Katie Couric questions? How disgraceful. Posted 11/13/2008 2:27 PMReply

You think the questions Couric asked were elitist and tough? Jealousy has nothing to do with it. Were are talking about a person who would be faced with considerably more difficult situations if they were to be 2IC of the most powerful country on earth. There are plenty of "down to earth newspaper reading Americans" that could have interviewed better than Palin, and whats really scary is she got your vote. Wow. Posted 11/14/2008 08:35 AMReply

uh, Couric never asked her what she "reads up there in Alaska?" she asked her "what newspapers & magazines do you read".
she never did mention Alaska in that question.
Ms. Palin is flailin' and tends to put up the wall-of-sound when she's feeling cornered.
