When will guys learn? Secretly videotaping sex is never a good idea (Thank you, R. Kelly).
Now, Ben Farias and Kyle Kraft may be paying the price for their pervy-ness. Lauren Highley, a 20-year-old from Boca Raton, is suing the UF junior and senior, as well as their fraternity, Delta Tau Delta, for filming her during a sexual encounter with Farias without her consent.
According to Highley, during the hookup, which involved “consensual sexual foreplay” in which she was “in a state of complete undress” and caught in “a highly intimate setting,” Farias’ buddy Kraft was hiding under the covers with a video camera.
Classy.
She managed to grab the tape and report the incident to the police, and the two idiots were charged with misdemeanor voyeurism and sentenced to 10 days in jail, 50 hours of community service and a year of probation.
Highley is also suing the frat, which seems like a stretch. She claims they wanted to use the tape for the amusement of the whole chapter, but even if these guys weren’t in a fraternity, I’m quite sure every red-blooded male they know would have seen the tape eventually. In that case, should she sue every friend of the fools who enjoyed her sexcapades?
Now if only the two boys had gotten consent, the three of them could have released the tape for a pretty penny and then everyone would win.
