Republican Strategic Analysis

If McCain is to succeed in the presidential election, he’s got to knock Obama off the pedestal of inevitability. He now has a lead in public opinion on energy and gas but will need to convince voters that he can pimp America out again with economic prosperity. Obstacles include negative public opinion of the Republican party following the Bush administration’s numerous eff-ups.

Democratic Strategic Analysis

Obama’s advantages include the fact that most Americans are hating on the direction the country is taking and a public perception that he is more middle class and more willing to fight for the middle class. Voters concerned with the war in Iraq, healthcare, and the economy and jobs think Obama is the man. However, he must bring it on to obtain more votes overall and overcome McCain’s slim one point lead.

CollegeOTR Analysis
