I’m getting a little tired of writing that there was yet another shooting on a college campus, and yet there was, in fact, another shooting on a college campus. A student was wounded after being shot this morning at Savannah State University.
Authorities have the alleged gunman in custody after a police dog tracked him down and led officers to find him in a car trunk on campus. Devon McIntosh is suspected of shooting an as-yet-unnamed student during a fight between them. The injured student was shot in the arm and the abdomen and was undergoing surgery.
“It was not a random shooting,” said the Campus Police Chief Thomas Trawick at a news conference. “This was individuals who knew each other, and there was an altercation.”
After the shooting, Savannah State, with its 3,400 students, was on lockdown, though it has since reopened now that the gunman has been caught.

Is it a bad thing that there was no national tv new coverage of this shooting because it is at a Historically Black College/University? Posted 11/21/2008 8:00 PMReply
