Think being a police officer takes years of training and school? Wrong. All you need is a uniform and the ability to act like you know what you're doing. That's what one Chicago teen discovered as he waltzed into a police station in uniform, and recieved a squad car assignment.
Facts:
The kid was 14.
It took the police five hours to figure out something was wrong.
They discovered he was a fake because his uniform was lacking a star. Not because he was fourteen.
Really? I mean I know there are a lot of Chicago cops, but wouldn't anyone stop and think "Hey, who's this comically young looking kid I've never seen before?" No, I guess "See blue. Give car. Get coffee." is more along the lines of their thought process.
The police aren't that upset because apparently the kid just wanted to be a cop, and wasn't planning some sort of elaborate Joker-esque plot to assassinate the mayor or anything, but he is being charged as a juvenile with impersonating an officer. Honestly, I think it's worth it just for the story alone.
