The 10 Best SNL Digital Shorts

The 10 Best SNL Digital Shorts

Love him or hate him, Andy Samberg certainly has a unique sense of humor. And now that humor is for sale. Lonely Island, aka Samberg and Co., just recently released an album called “Incredibad” with songs from their SNL digital shorts.

It’s not just a Samberg serenade, though. You’ll get a full sampling of celebrity appearances from Natalie Portman to Justin Timberlake and even some T-Pain. But you’ll have to buy “Incredibad” yourself to see if it lives up to its name.

However, reading about the CD made me think of all Samberg’s digital shorts… because I’d rather watch TV than read and because I find some of them really freaking funny. Of course some are absolutely terrible, but we’ll ignore those for now.

In the meantime, forget your case of the Monday’s with these clips, the best of the SNL digital shorts:

D**k in a Box

You had to know this one would be on the list. As obvious a choice as it is, I couldn’t leave it out. Justin Timberlake put his junk in a box and his girlfriend swoons. It’s perfect. Plus, it inspired Halloween costumes across the nation.

Jizz in my Pants

Okay, so Jizz in my Pants is more or less D**k in a Box 2.0, but that’s good enough for me. You also have to appreciate the mainstream media attempting to cover/explain the concept.

Lazy Sunday

This is the clip that established Andy Samberg as the Digital Short King. You know it has to be something special if it was spoofed in The Office. Lazy Scranton, anyone?

Japanese Office

Speaking of The Office, the Japanese Office was a perfect replica but with stereotypical Japanese additions. What’s not to love?

Natalie Raps

Natalie is undeniably hot and probably really, really nice (sometimes you can just tell), but she’s also hilarious. That is when she’s angry as hell and rapping about it.

Iran So Far

It’s a love song dedicated to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. And comparing the Iranian villain with Jake Gyllenhaal? With back up from Maroon 5’s Adam Levine? Love it.

Ariel and Efrim

Tom Hanks asks you to please don’t cut off his testicles. Enough said.

Giraffes

Heavy metal is the perfect ode to nature’s other gentle giants. Also, I always suspected they played minesweeper.

Sloths

Another from the Staten Island Zoo combining heavy metal and a random animal. But hey, if it worked once it can work again.

Lettuce

It’s just so random it works. And it kind of makes me want to eat lettuce.
