If you’re left-handed, you know how difficult it is to get by. You’re pretty much a freak of nature. Just about everything we use, and take for granted, is designed for righties: the computer mouse, desks, scissors, car features and binders, just to name a few. Sitting next to a right-handed person at the dinner table is always frustrating. Even the terminology implies that there is something wrong with you (“you’re not right-handed?”). And while research suggests that lefties are more likely to suffer from debilitating diseases such as schizophrenia and mental illnesses, they are also known to be smarter and more creative.
While no one can help which hand they were meant to use, maybe the following list of left-handed celebrities will make your left-handedness seem more glamorous.
* Marilyn Monroe
* Jay Leno
* Julia Roberts
* Sarah Jessica Parker and husband Matthew Broderick
* Tom Cruise and ex-wife Nicole Kidman
* Angelina Jolie
* Robert DeNiro
* 80s heartthrob Andrew McCarthy
* Keanu Reeves
* Jerry Seinfeld
* Oprah Winfrey
While lefties will still have to struggle to survive in a right-handed world, at least they can rest easy knowing they can outsmart their right-handed counterparts.

And btw -Not too excited that my fellow lefties are people I can't stand (Yuck Jay, Oprah, Angelina and Nicole)! Posted 07/03/2008 09:48 AMReply
