Well, it’s been a great 1.5 years of talking sports, making fun of local douchebags/idiots, and complaining, but the time has come for me to announce my retirement. Some factors contributing to the decision include: a burnout of sorts, prepping for graduate school, and OTR not having any more money for me. For those who never knew or figured out what AHor stood for, I am Adam Horwitz, a Junior LSA/AEPi/West Bloomfield Jew/however else you might want to categorize me. This was the best part time job I ever had or probably will ever have in the future, and it has been a pleasure writing for those of you still reading. To those who I may have offended with my posts, you either: A) Are overly sensitive B) Had it coming, or C) Both (Pike).
I know some of the bloggers from other colleges leaving the OTR site are continuing on separate sites, but I’m pretty sure this is it for me. If you recognize me on the street and want my opinion on something, feel free to ask. With all that being said, may Rich Rodriguez and the Wolverines have a successful football season next year, may John Beilein take the basketball team to their first NCAA tournament since the sanctions, may the Greek and GDI relationship improve on campus under new IFC president Ari Parritz, and may you guys find another source for campus news outside of the Daily or Review. With undying love for the University of Michigan, this has been AHor’s last post. God bless… unless you’re atheist, then, just take it easy I guess.

I think we need less collaboration with MGC chapters, not more, fwiw. I'm assuming this story won't make the Daily because it's not PC. Posted 01/13/2009 08:17 AMReply
