Teenage girls everywhere will surely be heartbroken that their already favorite movie has a 36% on Rotten Tomatoes. Just kidding, no they won’t, they’ll still all flock to see it this weekend and proclaim it the greatest thing since David Archuleta. But just for fun, let’s see what the reviews of Twilight are saying:
Newsday - With its vapor-thin plot and goofy gimmicks (game of vampire baseball, anyone?), Twilight seems best left to its impressionable teenage fans.
Boxoffice Magazine - Stewart, in particular, delivers her lines as if simultaneously confused and half asleep. At least Pattinson gives emoting a shot but in the end he doesn't fare much better either.
AP - There's nothing transporting about the visuals. Twilight was a famously low-budget production compared to most traditional blockbusters, but this is ridiculous.
Metromix - The term 'meh' was added to the dictionary this week, and just in time.
Variety - A disappointingly anemic tale of forbidden love that should satiate the pre-converted but will bewilder and underwhelm viewers who haven't devoured Stephenie Meyer's bestselling juvie chick-lit franchise.
EDGE - Put simply, it lacks fangs.
But the one I’m sure everyone will listen to is:
Time - It rekindles the warmth of great Hollywood romances, where foreplay was the climax and a kiss was never just a kiss.
Oh Time, always a pushover.

Stumble It

THERE IS NOTHING GREATER THAN DAVID ARCHULETA AND NEVER WILL BE. [: Posted 11/20/2008 5:37 PMReply

they were very faithful to the book, i don't know what you guys are talking about with the changes. Posted 11/21/2008 7:39 PMReply
The whole thing felt forced and had absolutely no fluent rhythm to it at all. I'm deeply dissappointed in the editing and writing. The casting was semi-perfectly, but the lines they were given to act out were horrible and made the movie very cheesey. Posted 11/21/2008 8:55 PMReply
this guy is NOT HOT AT ALL!
too much was changed from
the book and they left
important parts out.
i didnt like it..
bad choice of actors too...
bella looks like a man. Posted 11/21/2008 11:48 PMReply
im not in to the whole "wannabe vampire love story" stuff.
but i do know alot about film making and i must say
this movie was absolutely repulsive.
it was rushed and it lacked alot from the book.
i didnt not like it at all. Posted 11/21/2008 11:58 PMReply
im pretty sure you should be disappointed.
unless you are just weird and like teenage movies like that. Posted 11/22/2008 12:00 AMReply
this is INSANE!! i watched this movie on the premier night and my review... AMAZING!!
I've read the book aswell... sure they missed some things out but, it was the best mvie i've ever seen... I went and watched it three times already at the movies. I ADORE it..
the actors are amazing and they managed with a low budget to make a movie that beats all the other movies. I like Harry Potter but Twilight my god... SOOO much better.
igrone all the other CRAPPY comments...
I recomend everyone to see it... SO WORTH it. =) Posted 11/22/2008 08:47 AMReply
My score- 1/4 Posted 11/22/2008 10:53 PMReply

the movie sucked
i was so MAD when i went to see it
i know it was low budget and there was a time limit but they could have done much better starting with the cast
couldnt they have gotten people who knew how to act!!
The books are phenomenal but the movie was a huge disappointment.
I BLAME STEPHENIE MEYER FOR LETTING THEM DO THAT TO HER BOOK
I WILL NOT BE A PUSH OVER AND SAY THAT I LIKED THE TWILIGHT MOVIE BECAUSE IT WAS THE MOST BORING, STUPIDEST, AND BADLY ACTED MOVIE IVE EVEN SEEN!!! Posted 11/23/2008 4:44 PMReply

P.s was jaspers performance supposed to be commical? Posted 11/26/2008 1:55 PMReply
They're hilarious! Posted 12/02/2008 7:58 PMReply
I didn't read the book, nor did I see the movie, but even if I were a huge fan of both I would in no way ridicule this review or participate in the name-calling. Apparently differences in opinion cause idiots to become angry. It's alright, idiots. This page represents an opinion which doesn't match that of your's - it's perfectly normal - so don't get upset. Jacob: "Do you..kiss him?"
Bella: "yes" laughing
Jacob: "Don't you worry about his..fangs?"
Bella: hits Jacob "You know he doesn't have those!"
That's exactly what they said, just not written correctly due to actions. Posted 12/08/2008 11:14 AMReply
Putting it down was just awful, it made the actor look weird, the hair look fake, and it was against the character. In the book when he has his hair down it's a big sign that he's changed.
The movie was better than I thought, I really like the soundtrack. It just could of had more time put into it.
Although, I think they did a good job on James. Not really how I pictured him exactly, but I liked that image of him. Posted 12/08/2008 11:18 AMReply
Everything ever thought up, dreamed, or considered about twilight is, and always will be, completely made of fail to epic proportions. Posted 01/24/2009 10:39 AMReply
It hardly manages to be a twinkle in the eye of best series ever. It's a pathetic excuse for best series ever. Posted 02/03/2009 02:38 AMReply
Hehehe... Good God, what is happening to teens these days? Vampires should be scary. They should not be 'sparkling.'
I'm a mummy from outer space. I don't sparkle, but I glow. Any one want to make a movie of me? Posted 03/01/2009 10:24 AMReply
jeez I read the book, and I think the movie SUCKS ASS. not even "meh" it was a crapload of crap. I like the book I must say but jeez. it was like torture to watch the movie I think I looked like I was going to be sick the whole movie. Kirsten Stuart CAN NOT ACT. she's like keanu reeves in a comedy or anything without the world ending or robots. Edward isn't any better and I cannot belive they put this crap out there.I think I'll wait for a remake in the next 40-100 years. It may be better then Posted 07/21/2009 6:59 PMReply
