Tom Cruise Skips Son Connor Cruise's Film Debut, Wins No Parenting Awards

I’ve known for quite some time that I wouldn’t want Tom Cruise as my dad. One, he’s short. And doesn’t everyone hate short people? Two, I wouldn’t want my dad dancing around the house in tighty whities. And now reason three has been revealed: he’s a selfish and unsupporting prick who chose promoting Valkyrie over son Connor Cruise's film debut.

MSNBC reports:

“Seven Pounds” is his son Connor’s first film, but Tom Cruise opted not to attend the premiere in L.A. Dec. 16.

The reasoning for skipping 13-year-old Connor’s big-screen debut, in which he plays a younger version of Cruise pal Will Smith? Cruise opted to stay in New York to continue the publicity blitz for his film “Valkyrie.”

You know how in all of those family values movies the high-strung executive mom or dad is too busy at the office to make it to their daughter’s ballet recital or school play or whatever? Well, that’s what Tom Cruise is doing, except a million time worse!
