The Top Ten Most Ridiculous TV Anchor Moments

Did you see it? Joe Scarborough said the F-word live on TV the other day, causing quite a stir in the cable news world. Now he's on a 7-second tape delay, but this is far from the most insane thing that has ever happened in the anchor chair, as our list of the top ten most ridiculous anchor moments demonstrates:

10. Weatherman Has A Temper Tantrum
 

Hurricane Katrina had everyone a little stressed out, including Chad Myers. That may explain why the CNN weatherman threw a fit when anchor Carol Costello interrupted him with a question. He even threw his papers down in a huff… that Chad wasn’t messing around.

9. Matt Lauer Says What Other People Are Thinking

This one is short but tells it all. In an interview on the Today show, Matt Lauer accidentally says "Obama" instead of "Osama," as in Osama Bin Laden. This little gaffe was vindication enough to those who insist Obama has terrorist ties.

8. She Just Got Rick Roll'd
 

This just in… Fox News does have a sense of humor. As the female anchor talked about Google’s April Fool’s Day prank, she totally got Rick Roll’d… twice. Priceless.

7. Fox News Anchor Has Her Mind in the Gutter

We all know what’s on Fox News anchor Jane Skinner’s mind after watching this little slip up. Let’s just say the words “cock” and “cop” are easily confused. Luckily, the affable anchor was a good sport, laughing and proclaiming “just YouTube me.”

6. News Reporter Laughs at Death

Jay Warren had to be fired for this, right? For whatever reason, the news reporter started laughing in the middle of a story about a deathly car accident and he just couldn’t stop. That is not the way to win fans or ratings.

5. Boom Goes the Dynamite

This one is just kind of sad. Brian Collins earned the title of "worst sportscaster in the world" with his now legendary "Boom goes the dynamite" video that will forever cement him as a flop-sweating, long-pausing anchorman.

4. Chip Maxham Won't Forget That Misplaced Graphic Any Time Soon

Chip Maxham certainly looks friendly, but not the creepy kind of friendly an incorrect graphic made the weatherman out to be. As Maxham was telling us about some showers, WXVT was accidentally labeling him as a child molester.

3. WE'LL DO IT LIVE

Back when Bill O'Reilly was a lowly anchor for Inside Nation, he had quite a temper. A lot's obviously changed since then, but enjoy this now famous clip of Bill in his wrathful prime. Complete with all the swearing and spittle you could ever ask for.

2. MSNBC Anchor Refuses Paris Hilton Story

This would fall into the "borderline psychotic" category. MSNBC contributor Mika Brzezinski is upset by the producer's decision to run a Paris Hilton story lead. Her response? Try to light the script on fire live in the studio. Seriously
