Town In Ireland Plans to Construct Hotel Named After Barack Obama

Obama Love is officially sweeping the globe, and as a testament to this fact, a village in Moneygall, Ireland is erecting a hotel that will bear the name of our president-elect.

That’s right; the Barack Obama Hotel will one day open its doors in Moneygall, a providence located 120km from Dublin that’s home to a tiny population of Obamanites.

While some may label the move as a blatant publicity stunt, there is actually a very valid reason for the decision.

Eventective reports:

The town hopes to draw visitors interested in the new president’s ancestral history. Barack Obama’s third great grandfather on his mother’s side came from Moneygall, according to research.

The town hopes that one day, Barack Obama himself will show up to “his” hotel when he comes to visit Ireland.

OK, so maybe there is a bit of publicity-mongering going on here, but don’t tell me you wouldn’t one day want to stay at the Barack Obama Hotel.

My only wish is that the bed sheets and pillows bear the iconic image above.
