UGA Gets In Touch With Their Black Side

Watch out, a blackout is hitting Athens this Saturday.

The lights aren’t going out, but Sanford Stadium will be a sea of black when Georgia plays Alabama in the upcoming game. At the request of the seniors on the team, the Bulldogs will wear black instead of their traditional red and fans are asked to do the same.

This will be only the second regular season game, and the third time overall, that the team will wear the ominous color. Georgia coach Mark Richt explains to ESPN the switch:

"I don't think you do it too much, but our fans really enjoyed it [and] our players certainly enjoyed it [last year]," Richt said. "I thought of the outstanding success as far as the fans buying into the request of the seniors [to wear black] and the fans just having a ball with it. I would think they would get excited about the blackout again."

What’s not to be excited about? Black is slimming so all those hotties at the game will be just that much more sexy. Oh, and the football will probably be good too.
