The iPhone unlock issues:
To enjoy the benefits of the current iPhone firmware version (1.1.4), you have to unlock the baseband / unlock. This process is possible only under the bootloader version 3.9.

All the iPhone's before the 43rd Calendar week were produced, so the plant's iPhone with firmware 1.0.2 and 1.1.1, have the bootloader version 3.9 from the factory and are therefore not affected by the problem.

All the newer iPhone's firmware with the same or greater than 1.1.2 will unfortunately come with the bootloader 4.6 and have a Full Unlock to version 3.9 will be downgraded. This, of course, loses the Apple warranty or you upgraded back to 4.6 bootloader. And that's where the differences between the various iPhone unlock tool.
