U.S. Wins 4x100 Freestyle Relay, France Cries

Thanks to his teammate Jason Lezak, Michael Phelps’ dream of winning an unprecedented eight gold medals is still alive – for now.

After the U.S. team’s tremendous last-minute victory, videos of the relay race began popping up all over YouTube. Sadly, the ironfisted NBC was having none of it, as they immediately demanded that the videos be removed.

Is NBC really just worried about copyright infringement? I'm skeptical. It seems rather unpatriotic to limit the availability of this video. Perhaps, the true culprits are the French. After all, they’re the ones that choked in the final seconds of the race.

Yeah – blame the French.

Still, despite NBC’s (and/or the French’s) best efforts, I managed to find one video of the race on YouTube. It’s in Chinese though, so don't expect any riveting commentary.
