USC Coach Pete Carroll Plays Prank, Will Ferrell Gets Inspirational

USC football coach Pete Carroll likes to play football and likes to play tricks. This Halloween he had a pretty elaborate trick (or treat) ready for the Trojans. The video above shows a prank he choreographed involving USC alum Will Ferrell dressed as a superhero called Captain Compete.

Ferrell bursts onto the field carrying a man that “fell” from the stands. He then exclaims, “You’ve got to always compete. You’ve got to compete in everything you do…because if you want to win forever, you’ve got to always compete!”

As Ferrell pep talks the Trojans, a smoke is seen billowing from a nearby field and a guy who appears to be on fire runs across the field. Ferrell then throws a barrel of Gatorade at the man and the team chants Trojans.

As USC suffers from inconsistency this season, Carroll and Ferrell are the real dream team.
