Most people love hot girls. Most people also love a little thrill. With these two facts in mind, E! has created the most awesome TV special/pilot/show-most-likely-to-be-canceled fusing these concepts. Guys, get ready for… “Hot Girls in Scary Places.”
Have you ever heard such an honest, straight forward title? You get exactly what you expect and it is good.
There’s no “Girls Next Door” sugar coating here. (I don’t know where the producers on E! live, but the girls next door from me don’t look like that or wear as little as that.)
Starring in this new brilliant TV project aren’t just any old hot girls, though. These are the crème de la crème, the cream of the crop, your favorite and mine: The University of Southern California Song Girls. Well, three University of Southern California Song Girls to be exact.
The premise of the show is that three cheerleaders friends must spend the night in a supposedly haunted abandoned hospital for a cash prize of $10,000. But it won’t just be a giant creepy sleepover (though, here’s to hoping for at least one big scary pillow fight). The girls will have to complete a series of challenges to win the big medium money.
Finally, a TV series to fuse perkiness and the paranormal. I’ve been waiting for this.
The Live Feed gives us the scoop straight from the set:
“They’re totally scared, and totally believe experiences they’re going through,” says executive producer Gary Auerbach. “They’ll get scared and then be talking about a sorority party coming up. It’s a little bit 'Scooby Doo'-ish.”
Oh man, this sounds like a winner already… I loved Scooby Doo. However, I think I’d remember if Daphne or Velma were anywhere near as hot as the USC Song Girls. Ruh, roh.
Set your tivos now – “Hot Girls in Scary Places” is tentatively set to air on Friday the 13 of March. Get it? Friday the 13th is scary and this show will certainly be scary too, intentionally or not.
However, if the pilot somehow doesn’t manage to make it big (though I don't see how it couldn't succeed), don’t worry. You can create your very own version. You can hire the Song Girls for a mere $150 and then send them to scary places yourself. Some ideas might be the woods, an abandoned motel or even Wal-Mart. Then break out the video camera and you’ve got yourself a series.
