USF Lakeland And PCC Campuses Shut Down After Threat

Ever since the Virginia Tech tragedy, schools have been hyper alert about potential threats... and as well they should.

Today that meant that Polk Community College’s Winter Haven and Lakeland campuses, as well as University of South Florida’s Lakeland campus, were closed down due to a security scare.

My Fox Tampa Bay reports that a student who was expelled from the PCC Winter Haven campus because of an allegation of sexual harassment was the cause for concern. The student told a doctor he wanted to kill the dean of student services. In response, all three campuses were closed for the day.

The student is now in custody, and school will resume as normal tomorrow.

If the guy thought he had problems when he was accused of sexual harassment, he should just wait to see what happens to those who throw around the word murder.
