Often the best movies come from people who have four dollars and a handheld camera. See Blair Witch, Napoleon Dynamite etc. The Mother of Invention might be the next low-budget indy film to hit it big, and you’ll probably want to say you knew about it before it was cool.

The film follows Vincent Dooly, the “Carl-from-Aqua-Teen” looking guy in the video, as he tries to win a national inventing award, but he’s never made anything that actually works. The film probably doesn’t star anyone you’ve ever heard of, but it does have that guy from Superbad who gets into a fight and also an intern from the Letterman show. So there.
