Watch this ode to all of Wesleyan's party spots. The song charts Wes's wild party settings: from the infamous tombs to Zelnick Pavilion at 4 p.m. to the LoRise dorms. Have any locations to add? Leave them in the comments!
The song, which was written by Wesleyan’s improvisational comedy group, New Teen Force was filmed last fall yet the video just recently began to circulate on Wesleyan’s blogs. The video was originally featured on Wesleyan’s music blog, Aural Wes and was later picked up by the University’s student-run blog, Wesleying.
The song was originally written by New Teen Force alumna Mary Campion ‘07 and friend Pat Wolf ’ 07. The song was greeted by rapid fame amongst current Wesleyan students and alumni alike.
My favorite lyric is “Party with us and party with them. Party at Zelnick at 4 PM. Party on Lawn, Part on Home. Party at the Bayit. Shabbat Shalom. Party in the tunnels and if we get caught, party in the parking lot!”
The song strikes a particular note with students as it evokes the memory of this past May’s Party on Fountain, also known as the Fountain Avenue Incident, to which the Middletown Police responded to a noise complaint with a brigade of pepper ball bombs and a K-9 dog unit. Wesleying provided detailed coverage of the May 16th event.
