As I’m sure everyone has noticed, Cereality no longer exists on campus. It used to sit comfortably between American Apparel and that random sneaker store on the corner of 37th and Walnut – however, for the entire semester, that piece of prime real estate has sadly remained vacant.

For those of you unfamiliar with the cereal mecca, well, you aren’t missing out on too much. I actually think that the concept of a restaurant decorated to look like a kitchen that only sells cereal is adorable… for anyone who loves cereal. Like really loves it. Because you can’t actually get anything else there, except for coffee.

Which is why, despite its absurdly limited food options, Cereality was a great place to re-fuel (caffeine-wise) for anyone who lives on the high-30s of Walnut Street and doesn’t appreciate trekking down to 34th or over to Locust for a Starbucks.

So there’s my logistical justification for the wonderfulness that is 37th and Walnut – and now it’s empty.

Before someone snatches up the space and turns it into something stupidly unnecessary (like another CVS, of which we will have two in the span of four blocks once the one beneath the Radian opens next Monday. More on that next week.), I think we should all brainstorm stuff that this campus needs. Such as…

1.)    A Really Good Deli
There’s nowhere on campus to get a roast-beef on rye with Russian dressing. Why?
2.)    Pinkberry
I know that the last thing Penn needs is more frozen yogurt, but Pinkberry is special.
      3.) Intermix
    My friend BackSlash just thought of this one. He’s a guy, I swear.

Any other suggestions?
