For the uninitiated and/or wholly oblivious, Anna Wintour is the editor-in-chief of Vogue, a position she has held since 1988—the year in which many of you were born.
Her daughter, Bee Shaffer, is currently a senior at Columbia, hoping to follow in her mother’s footsteps by pursuing a career in the not-so-lucrative field of journalism.
One would think that, by heritable design, she’d be all set with her career upon graduation, but no, Bee told New York Magazine that she’s “really nervous about the fact nobody’s hiring right now.”
Of course, budding journalists might be quick to find an unlikely comrade in Bee; after all, she’s facing the same worrisome job market as the rest of us slobs, right?
Wrong; did I mention she’s Anna fricking Wintour’s daughter?
She’s set for life.
