More brilliant moves from San Diego State's Greek system.  The AP is reporting two fraternities have been expelled because of hazing and alcohol violations:  Lambda Chi Alpha and Delta Sigma Phi.
 
A university flak admitted Delta Sigma Phi was expelled after three pledges kidnapped a fraternity member during initiation week and knocked him unconscious with a chokehold.  The fraternity was already on interim suspension after a pledge was hurt in a March hazing incident.

Gabriel Ruiz (pictured above), the groups expected president for 2008-2009 posted this note the group’s Facebook page:

“Brothers and friends as the newly elected President of Gamma Alpha for next year, 
I regret to inform you that our chapter has been shut down for 4 years due to a hazing incident. We are eligible to come back in 4 years so I hope you will all support in that effort if you are still around.  Come say hi to us all at the house this summer. After talking to our ACB and the school, members will still be able to live in the house for a while without letters on the house.” 

He also posted a link to a brief CBS news story.

Meanwhile, Lambda Chi Alpha was expelled for having booze at recent social function, a violation the terms of its interim suspension from this month's mass drug arrests. 

Phi Kappa Psi and Theta Chi are still on interim suspension pending the DA's drug investigation. How soon until they get the boot too?

I want to say that the university really has it out for SDSU frats, but clearly these guys are just idiots.

Stop hazing people!  It's not cool and it only makes the rest of the Greek system look bad!
