First Days Back: Who Had the Best Week Ever?

First Days Back: Who Had the Best Week Ever?

Not me! I started the year with major sleep deprivation (damn you, RA training, voter registration, and Ikea furniture assembly!), a broken computer, and classes full of some of Columbia's dumbest, but these people are much better off:

5. A group of several students partying on the Woodbridge fire escape who managed to get away before Public Safety arrived, winning an epic battle in the War on Fun. Automatic ejection from housing is a sure thing next time, so next week may not be their best week ever.

4. Students who used Hudson Storage or City Closets instead of College Boxes. Nice work not getting your stuff broken/lost/stolen!

3. The refreshingly laid-back and good-looking Professor Whitford, who won the hearts of the 23 females and 2 males in "Sociology and the Public" by joking about being hung over and asking them to "do the professor a solid" and see if the required course books had arrived in the bookstore yet.

2. SENIORS! Senior Night kicked off on Wednesday (and will continue to occur every Wednesday at Havana Central), and it's too early for anyone to be sad about the end of college or scared to enter the "real world" yet. Too bad we don't get priority in the McCain/Obama ticket lottery.

1. Alma Mater, who raked in massive amount of benjamins thanks to continued tuition increases. I noticed that the money is already being put to good use on fancy new grass beautification machines (see above).
