Our favorite sidekick wizard is back and ready to hit the silver screen as someone other than Ron Weasley, the question is - are you ready? Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be in theaters this upcoming November, leaving only two movies left to be made of the bestseller bunch. With the end quickly approaching, Rupert Grint has wisely decided to transition into mainstream cinema and television i.e. anything other than whimsical sorcery movies.
Grint has agreed to join the cast and will star in the Belfast-based teen drama, Cherrybomb. Grint will play an angst-ridden teenager, who along with his best friend, are head over feet for the high school dream girl (played by Kimberly Nixon). The movie is currently in production and is set to premiere in 2009. Being that this show is entirely based in Ireland, all Potter fans can rest assured that this show will probably never air in the US.
So no worries, Potter Puppet Pal devotees, you won't be shifting your loyalty to any other kind of parody beside Harry Potter ones anytime soon. Unlike his cast mate Daniel Radcliffe, who constantly seems to be party hopping in the good ole US of A, this England native is deep-rooted in his country.

Also you made another mistake, the last book is to be split into 2 movies Posted 07/09/2008 10:06 AMReply
Sorry about the mistake, I wasn't aware the last book would be split up into two movies. I've corrected it. Thanks a lot for catching that! Posted 07/09/2008 10:35 AMReply
Secondly, major Rupert Grint fansits have confirmed that this movie IS looking at US release. http://www.rupert-grint.us/wordpress/?p=38
And yes, Dan has done films in Australia and the UK and is only doing one thing in the US and that's a stage play. How is this party hopping? Posted 07/09/2008 12:33 PMReply
