Sick of the Bickering Nature of American Politics? Here's a Story That Could Make Fred Phelps and Clay Aiken Hold Each Other and Cry

Ever since the race for the presidency has been hammered down to McCain and Obama, we've been subjected to one of the most negative campaigning strategies in the history of American politics. The Wisconsin Advertising Project has found that McCain's ads are 73% negative (far short of Obama's 100% claim), while Obama sports a 61%. Between arguments over who's policy is better for Joe-Six-Pack, Joe-the-Plumber, Joe-the-Male Escort, and campaign rallies where Palin gives a hard-on to the anti-Obama mob, most Americans have become sick and tired of the bickering nature of the current campaigns. After all, we were promised a higher level of discourse with these two candidates.

The campaigns have become so ridiculous at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if the two presidential nominees started coming after each other with mallets and ACME dynamite, Looney Tunes style. So in the midst of this seemingly never-ending, polarizing argument, I bet you're urning for a story that could tickle the heart of even your local child molester. Well here it is!

CNN did a story on an Iraqi school for the blind. These kids count their blessing day in and day out because they're LUCKY (yes, lucky) to be given the opportunities they have been given - even though they are in the midst of a war zone. The kids enrolled at the Al Noor's Institute For the Blind  in Baghdad could easily humble the hearts of any teenage girl that complains to their parents about not getting the prom dress they wanted or  the guy in college that cheats on his girlfriend and wonders what he ever did to deserve getting dumped.

The best part of this story is the gratitude the teacher feels when a dictionary for the blind is donated to the school. Tears run down his face as he thanks God for the gift.

So if you're like me, you're probably sick of watching McCain wander around aimlessly on the campaign trail like an old man that gets lost outside of his nursing home and retreats to the local Bob Evans for some grits out of pure instinct . You're also probably sick of watching Obama use his stupid Harvard intellect and inspiring the youth of the nation (actually, that's probably a good thing).

If these are your sentiments, then take a break from this Wile Coyote versus Road Runner campaign and watch this story that will leave you smiling in the end.
