Century 21, a massive and massively overrated department store, claims to be New York’s best kept secret. Last weekend, I discovered that the Brooklyn Botanic Garden actually is New York’s best kept secret. For at least a couple of hours, I didn’t hear traffic, see homeless people, smell dirty water hot dogs, or bump into swarms of tourists. This must be what life is like at the University of Oregon.
