This coming year, Cornell will proudly be home to Kelly Karmann, who isn't really altogether that much more special than anyone else at the university except she's 6'1", which I'm fairly certain makes her the tallest woman in the world (named Kelly Karmann*). This is "news" because her town's newspaper recently wrote a hard hitting, public interest fluff piece about her. (I never would've guessed the public was interested in her.)
Come fall, you'll be able to find The Kellster (we joke around about it, it's cool) around north campus, on the volleyball field (pitch? court?), or getting cookies for me from the top shelf. I'll take this opportunity to admit that I am short. Quite short. (Ask Cul-De-Zack or the King of Snacks if you'd like exact figures.) But that's why I'm looking forward to K2 's arrival at school, after which I can only imagine the fun we'll have. Cue montage of me getting a piggy back ride from Kelly, Kelly tossing me into the air and playfully catching me, and Kelly and I on a tandem bike with her doing most of the work and me giggling playfully on the backseat.
Karmann should learn not to brag, though. Her Facebook page boasts that wth her height she "can find people in a crowd easier than most, and [she] can actually enjoy concerts!" Show off. I can walk under ladders without ducking.
