Not sure if you've noticed lately that campus police have been riding around on Segways for some strange reason. According to the VT website, some company donated one of their scooters electric vehicles to the Virginia Tech police, and now Segway sightings have been just popping up all over the place. 

It's funny, because the cops just look silly riding around on them; they're like oversized scooters. Or those motorized shopping carts in grocery stores for fat/old people. Honestly, how fast can that thing go? It seems like someone could just outrun it if they were about to get arrested. But more importantly, how do they choose who gets to ride around on the scooter that day? Draw straws? 

You can tell that guy in the picture thinks he's so cool.
