Pepper's: Karoake As It's Meant To Be- Drunk And Trashy
Bill, a local karaoke legend, and Pepper's mainstay.  He's known for his renditions of "Bridge Over Troubled Water," and "Try A Little Tenderness."  Both are better than the originals, I assure you.

The Columbia Karaoke Circuit is, in size, very respectable. In quality, our fair town does not rank too well.

The problem, as I see it, is that places like Buffalo Wild Wings and Legend's have a skewed take on karaoke; namely, they think it's about singing. They discourage performers from moving around and "getting into their performance."

Not Pepper's. Pepper's respects the vision of the drunk karaoke-er. The place has a sort of "anything goes" quality to it to begin with, and it extends to showmanship.

Bright Side: The crowd is supportive, you'll only get boos from the bartender. It's just a gathering of people who want to get together, get really drunk, and attempt to sing, which usually ends up being little more than yelling into a PA system.

Dark Side: It's a long drive down Rangeline to get to Pepper's, and once you get there, you'll want to get as drunk as possible, thus necessitating a sober driver. Also, sometimes, there can be a long waiting list to get to perform. It's kind of a racket. Just tip the DJ, and you'll get your song moved up as the list as far as you want it to go.
