Lacrossing the Line

Maybe it's something in the water... At least in the kind lacrosse players are drinking.

First, Duke lacrosse gets a bad rap for raping a stripper (except, oh, just kidding, they didn't.)

Now, Princeton Lacrosse Senior Nicholas Hermandorfer is facing a trial for assault.

Hermandorpher allegedly helped a UVA grad, Adam M. Fassnacht, beat a kid up during Reunions on June 1st, according to Newsday.  Hermandorfer and Fassnacht (talk about unfortunate names) have both pled not guilty to the charges, and Hermie's lawyer says that there are witnesses that claim he wasn't involved.

Still, the guy's got a record:

"Police have said that Hermandorfer and the victim have fought in the past, and that the university
previously suspended Hermandorfer for beating the other student. ...Hermandorfer had also been
previously charged with sexual assault on campus in December 2005..."

Well, one guess who doesn't feel safer back on campus this fall!

Lacrosse boys, for the love of the law, switch to Gatorade.
