If your main goal in life is to get through college without going to class and barely having to study, TV and American Society (RTV 3405) is the class for you. This is the perfect elective for those that like putting forth the least amount of effort possible and still getting an A. And if our reputation is true, that should be everyone.
First of all, as you might have noticed, this class is about television. And though that might not end up being as exciting as it seems, occasionally you’ll end up having to learn about something that you’re mildly interested in. Studying for this class definitely won’t be as much of a drag as studying for math or chemistry.
But the best part of this class is that the Powerpoint slides are always put up online so you don’t even have to bother to go to class. All you really have to do is study the Powerpoints before the tests and you’re all set.
But that’s not all. The other best part of this class is that there is exactly one test’s worth of extra credit. Each survey or extra credit assignment you participate in is worth 25 points and if you do four of those you can replace a test. Meaning if you do relatively well on the tests, you don’t have to take the final. Of course, you could just get D’s on every test and get an A with the extra credit. No matter what, this is a win/win situation.
