Take a Flying Leap...With Madcity Skydivers

You know you want to clasp hands "Point Break" style.  Who doesn't?

You can be on your way to that Keanu impression with Madcity Skydivers, a registered student organization that organizes three "Leapfests" each year, one per fall, spring and summer semesters.

During the weekend Leapfests, the club brings between 50 and 150 students to Skydive Chicago to do a tandem skydive.  If you need further coaxing, after your jump students are treated to an all-you-can-eat cookout and a "huge party afterward on Skydive Chicago's huge premises."  Probably not quite the party you're used to, but do you get to jump out of an airplane at a Langdon frat? Actually, I wouldn't be surprised.

On Sunday students can make another skydive, hang out at the drop zone or explore Chicago.

No date is announced for the summer jump yet.  As a club member, your first tandem jump costs $149.  A nice chunk of change, but the parents don't need to know they are funding a 120-mph leap from 13,000 feet.  Unless you get them good and mad, that could work too.

To quote Johnny Utah, " You gonna jump or...?"
