Duke's Last Day of Classes

Duke's Last Day of Classes
Unbelievable.  It still has not hit me that yesterday was our last day of classes, my last class of my sophomore year.  Just two more years left.  Crazy.

So LDOC lived up to the hype around it.  The weather turned an awesome mid-70 degrees and sunny by 3 pm and it was on.  EVERYBODY was outside, chilling, having a good time.  I did not realize how many people there were and how many people I did not know at all at Duke.

From my point of view, LDOC was all about the FOOD.  C'mon, $5.49 for an all-you-can-eat buffet?!?  Amazing, considering the delights on the menu:
- Any type of breakfast item you could want.  Pancakes, sausage, eggs, etc.
- Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, green beans (the buffet is HEALTHY!)
- An ice cream sundae bar...mine had chocolate ice cream, caramel, oreo bits, and butterfinger bits...uugghhhhh, how decadent
- Fresh fruit and lots of it
- Burgers and chicken sandwiches galore

In 10 years when I look back on what was my first LDOC yesterday (I was trapped in the library during freshman year), I shall remember just two things:  Third Eye Blind came to play and the Buffet (capitalized out of respect) was ridonk.

To all those at Duke and around the country, good luck with finals!
