Some colleges' t-shirts can be worn almost anywhere: App State shirts are OK anywhere except at UMich and you can't go wrong with Virginia Tech. But at Carolina, some there are some school shirts that you do not want to be seen in.
7. Maryland: This one is on the fence. That loss last season in the Dean Dome shouldn't have happened (mainly because I feel that the Tar Heels should never lose a basketball game), but when UNC's post-season performance is compared to that of Maryland, it makes it almost OK to wear a Maryland shirt on campus. After we get our revenge this basketball season, feel free to don a Maryland T.
6. Georgetown: Teams that knock UNC out of the NCAA tournament do not make T-shirts that should be worn around campus.
5. Clemson: Last basketball season, with the dookies down on their luck, it seemed that Clemson was the Tar Heels' biggest competition...and who would want to support the competition?
4. Any South Carolina T-shirt that does not explicitly say "South:" The University of North Carolina is Carolina. The University of South Carolina is South Carolina. The name "Carolina" does not belong on a maroon T-shirt unless it is preceded by the word "South."
3. NC State: Why would you even want to wear a State shirt around campus? Chances are that the only way you were going to go to school there is if Chapel Hill sent you a rejection letter.
2. University of Kansas: It's too soon. I don't want to talk about it.
1. Duke: It doesn't matter if you were raised a Duke fan. It doesn't matter if you actually go to Duke. It doesn't matter if every member of your family ever in your entire ancestral history went to Duke. It is not OK to wear a Duke shirt at UNC Chapel Hill. Respect the rivalry: Duke shirts are for burning on Franklin Street after the Tar Heels stomp the Blue Devils.
