I woke up to this today:
As we gear up to bring you the New Xbox Experience, Xbox LIVE and the Xbox LIVE page on Xbox.com will be down for 24 hours, beginning on September 29, 2008 from 12:01 AM PST until 11:59 PM PST. During this time you will not be able to access Xbox LIVE.
Xbox Live is down for an entire 24-hour period today so Microsoft can do some behind the scenes work for the upcoming launch of NXE (that's the New Xbox Experience for all you n00bs out there). The new user interface is going to have Mii-like avatars (but slightly less ridiculous looking) and a completely redesigned interface.
But that leaves us with an Xbox live blackout for a full day. What are we going to do? My life isn't complete without pwning bitches in Halo 3 and COD4. I'm feeling the burn, and it's only 9:30! What am I going to do? Go on Playstation Network? Play Wii over wi-fi? Please. Maybe I'll start designing my avatar for when NXE debuts. He should have a sunglasses cause he's a badass, and oh! A visor. Visors are totally rad.
But I swear, if clothes start costing "Microsoft points" I'm gonna kill somebody. And I know they will.
